The effect of incentives on the satisfaction and performance of researchers in institutions of higher education and scientific research - an exploratory study of a number of colleges at the University of Sulaymaniyah
Abstract
The primary goal of this research is to identify the incentives offered by the University
for teaching and its effect in expanding the efficiency of the scientific research activity,
as they are the main source of the university's success. The questionnaire was adopted as
a tool to collect research data, and the University of Sulaimaniya was chosen as a field of
research. To analyze the data, the ready statistical program (Spss) was used. The most
important tools used in the analysis are the percentage of the arithmetic mean, the standard
deviation and the determining factor (R2), and other methods in the descriptive statistics.
The test (t) and (F) were used to find out whether there were differences between the
independent variables in their effect on the dependent variables. The research came out
with a set of conclusions and proposals, which suggest more focus on the incentive system
to serve the development and stimulation of scientific research.
