Abstract

The research aims to identify the importance of sustainable performance application in the Iraqi entities, and the possibility of evaluating sustainable performance using sustainable balanced scorecard to the extent of their pursuit of sustainability and community service. Many benefits derived from adoption sustainable performance and sustainable balanced scorecard; achieve clear understanding for strategy from workers and stakeholders, as well as achieving differentiation in several areas; providing new services and adoption new production processes, generating capabilities creative workers contribute entering new markets, and maintaining its reputation and realize benefits of stakeholders, so as to reducing environmental and society problems. The research has shown the possibility of adopting sustainable Balanced Scorecard to evaluating the performance in Iraqi banks. a set of recommendations introduced including; pursuit of adopting sustainable performance and sustainable balanced scorecard, as well as the importance of taking the necessary measures to raise awareness among employees of the importance of taking in accounts environmental factors and social performance in the formulation of strategies.
