Abstract

       The present research investigates the relationship between the emotional intelligence constituents and the types of the transformational leadership in The General Company for Cotton Industries in Al-Kadimia in its seven plants. The research sample consists of (45) managers who takes  the responsibility of the leadership positions in the three managerial levels (the top, middle and bottom) the questionnaire method is adopted as a main mean for data collection.

       The research has reached a group of conclusions. The most important is the availability of the emotional intelligence constituents for the researched sample and in high rates which has been reflected on the availability of the transformational leadership behaviours in the sample. This verifies the research main hypothesis about the existence of a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and transformational leadership. Moreover, the research has reached a group of recommendations. The most important is that the managers should endeavour to preserve these constituents and develop them for the employees as well
