يهدف هذا البحث إلى تحليل الدور التنموي للقطاع الصحي في الدنمارك باستخدام مؤشرات التنمية المستدامة للمدة (2009-2023). اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، عن طريق تحليل البيانات حول القطاع الصحي والمؤشرات التنمية المستدامة. وقد توصلت البحث الى استنتاجاً مهما وهوة تفوق الدنمارك بشكل ملحوظ على المعايير العالمية كما ان القطاع الصحي قد لعب دورا مهما وفاعلا من خلال التفوق في مؤشرات مثل العمر المتوقع عند الميلاد، ونسبة السكان الذين يعانون من سوء التغذية، والعمل اللائق، ومؤشر تغير المناخ، وقد اوصت البحث الى ضرورة توجيه الاستثمار نحو التعليم الصحي لغرض الاستمرار في تحسين جودة التعليم الطبي والتمريضي، وبالخاص التركيز على الزيادة العدد الأطباء النفسيين لمواجهة التفاقم الازمة الامراض النفسية وكذلك الاستفادة من التجربة الدنماركية في توزيع المسؤوليات بين المستويات المركزية والإقليمية والمحلية لضمان تصميم الخدمات وفق الاحتياجات المحلية ورفع كفاءة الإنفاق الصحي في العراق.
