Analysis of the developmental role of the health sector in Denmark using sustainable development indicators for the period (2009-2023)

This research aims to analyze the developmental role of the health sector in Denmark using Sustainable Development Indicators (SDI) for the period 2009-2023. The research employed a descriptive-analytical approach, analyzing data on the health sector and SDI indicators. The study reached a significant conclusion: Denmark significantly outperforms global standards in indicators such as life expectancy at birth, the percentage of the population suffering from malnutrition, decent work, and the climate change index. The research recommends directing investment towards health education to continuously improve the quality of medical and nursing education, with a particular focus on increasing the number of psychiatrists to address the escalating mental health crisis. It also recommends learning from the Danish experience in distributing responsibilities among central, regional, and local levels to ensure services are tailored to local needs and to improve the efficiency of health spending in Iraq.
