Abstract

       The economic participation of women is affected by a set of determinants of an inherited economic and social nature, and the announcement of the first infection with the Coronavirus was on February 24, 2020, and with it, Iraq entered a state of alert to confront this pandemic, and as a result of the high number of infections and deaths due to the rapid spread of the epidemic, the Iraqi government took a number of measures Preventive measures, by closing borders and airports, as well as limiting movement through total or partial bans, and the closure decisions led to stopping sectors throughout the country, where the importance of research comes through the policies, measures, programs and initiatives required for a greater role for women in times of crisis, adopted The study hypothesized that adopting policies, goals and programs according to a gender perspective would mitigate the repercussions of the health crisis on Iraqi women. One of the most important conclusions and recommendations that have been reached. Human rights are the variable most affected by crises in Iraq, and the strongest impact on women’s rights. The crises caused violations of all human rights, by destroying the basic components of these rights by preventing people from obtaining Accordingly, rights were lost, and the right to development was neglected as a basis for launching development operations and plans, and the call for speeding up the legislation of the domestic violence law in the Iraqi parliament in order to ensure prevention, protection, response services and legal measures to reduce all types of gender-based violence
