Abstract

The large and accelerating developments in the modern business environment made the
customer's desires fluctuating and accelerating, which led the economic units to view
these desires as a moving goal and they must adopt modern cost strategies to achieve the
goal and keep pace with the speed of events in the market, and these strategies are quality
costs (QC).
The research problem is represented in the extent of the impact of quality costs on
achieving the competitive advantage through reducing costs and customer satisfaction.
The research aims to present and analyze the reality of quality costs while showing its
role in achieving the competitive advantage. As for the importance of research lies in the
modern approach based on modern scientific foundations in the need to focus on
measuring quality costs and their effect on achieving competitive advantage.
The most prominent conclusions reached by the research is that focusing on quality
improvement programs results in achieving an increase in revenues through the general
effect of quality in enhancing customer satisfaction and increasing market share as well
as increasing the level of sales resulting in lower costs through economies of scale.
